Doughnut-Hole Country

"I am a Returner" I have labeled myself this after reading a Newsweek artical called Doughnut-Hole Country. I paln to leave for my AIT in Missouri for 7 weeks. Then come back with and work construction with my father. While working construction my best friend and I will be getting a place. Then while me and my father work we will take some of our money and put it toward a Rig. After we get our truck we will contract ourselves out and start as truck drivers for ourselves. I plan to stay around here the rest of my life.

Reflection

What i'm going to remember about this coarse is doing all the plays thoughs were the most fun thing. One thing that i really found interesting was that we did the layout of our bodies and filled them with what we were like in four settings. I hope that you go on to continue that with the other classes. Also was all of the acting. That is one thing that i can really relate to. It's just so fun to get into a role because it doesn't even seem like we are in class when we act. We just do it and we have a lot of fun with it. The student teacher this year was one of the best that we have had in years. Last thing about the class was we covered a large amount of topics this year but they all linked to gether and where fun overall.

I kinda like this quote because it is almost like a little kid says it. If I don't go to bed after midnight then i'm already up. I believe that was mostly the appearance was the mentality of a child and of a drunk. So it was almost like a duel role for him. I like this because it is almost true because if you go till after midnight your already up for the new day.

Favorite book this year

my favorite book this year would have had to been 12th night. In the book it helped me get a good sence on the play right off. It never drag me around anything, it was always right on piont. That really helped me get into my role as Fabain. As this role, it was easy to relate to because he was close to what i am. This book was also nice to watch my friends come into there role as well because just when they thought they couldn't act but they came right into it. The next best thing about that book was it was full of dazing and confusment for the audience.

Revisiting an Opinion Piece

The opinion piece that i'm going to revisit is the one of the texting nightmare. What happened in that was a man was to busy texting to see some warning signs that where telling him to stop but he was so involved in texting his friend that he never saw them. At that time he colided with another train killing 25 people and critically injuried. After this happened the goverment started to look at new laws that would make texting while operating illegel. The Californian goverment passed a law that no one can read or text while operating any type of moving vehilce.

Opinion pieces next year

I'd like to talk about troops over in Iraq. The question I'd love to have asked is whether we should leave or continue fighting.? The reason why I'd liked this asked is because everyone has there own prospective on what is happening. This could also open up this on more questions. This is a big issue for me because I'm in the U.S. Army National Guard and I'm do to be deployed sometime around 2010.

How my writing has inproved

Over my high school years my writting has come along ways. With the help of my english teacher i went from just writing enough to get me by, to writing everything that i need to say. I love to watch what I'm writing form out to be good quality work. I try hard when i write to bring it as close to me as i can so when people decide they want to agrue about a fact that i have put in there they don't have a leg to stand on so to speak. I know and i have lived it. That would be like me trying to tell a guy that has worked power lines for 30 years how things are done, it's just not how it works. On my writing next year I'd like to work on my grammer and also would like to work on not adding things to the end of my writing that wasn't in the body paragraphs.

Favorite opinion peice

My favorite opinion piece would have to be the lower drinking age. This would be special to because i mean whether people say it or not they drink. If the drinking age was dropped i believe that it could lower the death rate among teens. It would take the risk of getting caught out of the picture and that would make kids not drink as much. In ture it would also make just a lot of kids not drink at all. Kids more then like stay where they are because they don't want to get caught so that could help to. But a down fall to this would be the kids that are depressed is that now they'll have alcohol and that could make them more depressed which could lead to worse things. But all and all the reason i like this the most is it related to me kinda the most and it helped me to get some of my feelings about this issue,
